🏏 1st XI vs Rush

Rush 1 – 84 all out
Balbriggan 1 – 85/6
Balbriggan won by 4 wickets

Dylan Lues starred with a brilliant 5/23, reducing Rush to 30/7 before they rallied to 84 all out. The chase wasn’t simple – Cameron Rowe top-scored with 23 (2x4s, 2x6s) to help get us over the line in a nervy low-scoring affair.

🏏 3rd XI vs Pembroke 4

Pembroke 4 – 165/9
Balbriggan 3 – 166/8
Balbriggan won by 2 wickets

Ali Shah took 3/23, with Ryan Keenan supporting well (2/32). In the chase, Qutubuddin Sheik anchored the innings with an excellent 54 (7x4s), and skipper Niall McElearney added a calm 25 to guide us home in another tight finish. The 3s remain unbeaten in the league!

🏏 2nd XI vs Leinster 2

Leinster 2 – 199 all out
Balbriggan 2 – 169 all out
Leinster won by 20 runs

Bhavesh Lakhotia led the way with the ball taking 4/30. There were 2 wickets each for Jordan Hollard, Shakir Ullah and Abdul Samad. The chase was difficult in wet conditions, but Samad (47, 5x6s) and Hollard (45, 5x6s) gave it everything down the order.

Now it all comes down to the final game of the season: Balbriggan 2 vs Pembroke 2 this Sunday. A win could see us survive, while Pembroke need a win to challenge for the league title. It’s all to play for!

Wexford won by 7 wickets

Sadiq Momand (33) and Jack Flynn (26) provided runs at the top, but we couldn’t post enough. With the ball, Bhavesh Vaity impressed with 2/26. One more game left in a tough but character-building season for the 5s!
