Celebrating the Official Opening of Our Indoor Cricket Centre – A Day to Remember!
On Saturday, April 13th, Balbriggan Cricket Club proudly marked a major milestone with the official opening of our brand-new Indoor Cricket Centre. The sun shone brightly on what was a truly special day for the club and the wider community, one filled with cricket, celebration, and connection.
From the moment the gates opened, there was a wonderful buzz around the ground. Fun and games kept both kids and adults entertained, while the delicious smells of our BBQ drifted through the air, thanks to the hard work of our fantastic volunteers. The sense of community and joy was palpable as families, friends, players, and supporters came together to celebrate this exciting new chapter.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Power family, whose vision and generosity have played an instrumental role in the realisation of the Indoor Centre. Their support, along with that of our club sponsors, has been vital in making this dream a reality.
We were also honoured to welcome several distinguished guests on the day. Special thanks to Cricket Leinster President Meena Baskarasubramanian for joining us, as well as Tony Murphy, Malachy Quinn, and Grainne Maguire, whose presence helped mark the significance of the occasion.
The event also served as the perfect setting for our 2024 Annual Awards Presentation, where we celebrated the achievements of our players and teams across the season. The evening concluded with great conversation, laughter, and camaraderie. A true reflection of what Balbriggan Cricket Club stands for.
