Construction of our Indoor Training Centre work has now begun. After 4 years of research , planning , dozens of meetings , Grant applications , Planning Applications and Fundraising , its very exciting to see the club break ground on the new Training Centre.

It’s a very exciting time for the club , the indoor will be transformative for the club , it will provide the ability to train and coach youth and senior players all year round , remove the risk of any summer training being cancelled due to rain and help us grow the Club in terms of Youth , Men and Women’s players.

2024 will be a great year for the club in that we will see the Indoor Centre built , but financially 2024 and 2025 will be very difficult  as the cost of the Indoor has risen dramatically to over €650,000.

The club received a very generous donation we received from The Family of Tommy Power , Grant funding , Primary Sponsorships from The Moriarty Group and Progressive Credit Union for which we are hugely grateful. We have ran various fundraisers and had excellent support from Fingal County Council , but even so , we are still going to need a significant Loan to make the Indoor Centre ready for use with the installation of specialist matting and protective netting.

The amount of the loan we need will depend on how much funds we raise over the next 12 months , the more funds we raise through donations and sponsorship , the lower the loan required and a lower financial burden on the club long term.

We are now launching a donation scheme , this scheme is very common in projects like these by sports clubs, Donations can be made monthly over a period of 2 years or can be one off donations. Any family , individuals or companies that donate to this scheme will be named on a Patrons & Donors board that will be hung in the Indoor hall.

Donations of €1000 or More – Recognised as a Patron of the Indoor Centre

Donations of €250 – €1000 – Recognised as a Donor of the Indoor Centre

As per the rules of the Tax Donation scheme , All monies donated after the Indoor centre is built will go towards the Indoor Centre Project by reducing the loan amount owed or go towards further improvements to the Centre.

We hope that our members , families , Supporters and our community will consider supporting this Incredibly important cause that will provide a community facility for the current generation and for generations to follow.

I would encourage everyone to look at the “Share Purpose and Vision” presentation and the Information and Guidance document ,

If anyone has any questions on the above or the process around donating and any Tax implications, please contact Balbriggan Cricket Club Treasurer  Damien Byrne on 0860644238 or email Balbriggancricketclub@gmail.com
